Once upon a time...
In May 2014, on the same day, on the same floor and in the same hospital, the much better halves of two childhood buddies gave birth to two beautiful girls. Naturally, over much back-slapping, high fiving and toasting to their daughters, wives, each other, the barman etc. etc. they got to thinking about working together...Why? Well they figured now that they had finally grown up and were two very proud new Dads, they had a responsibility to inspire their daughters. Something that stood for the greater good. They really didn't know 'what' that was to be, or even 'how' they were going to do it but that wasn't important - 'why' was much more important...Roll on a few years after scores of late night and early morning brainstormers in kitchens, snugs and farmyards; hundreds of miles criss-crossing the highways and by-ways of Ireland; thousands of miles on planes, trains and automobiles on food safari's across the US & Europe; way too much time tasting great coffee, wine, beer and every burger known to man and boom! BuJo (Burger Joint, get it?) was born.BuJo aims to uphold the highest standards in the sourcing and provenance of our food from the very best of Irish farmers and producers; doing our utmost to reduce our impact on the environment and by creating a positive impact in Sandymount and beyond. Something that stands for the greater good.BuJo is where fine-dining meets diner.BuJo.Burgers. Better.

We're working hard to make Burgers. Better.
The good Lord meant for cows to eat grass, meat to be cooked by fire and folks being kind to each other - it's the natural order. Our menu was created from scratch by one of Irelands most exciting young chefs, Gráinne O’Keefe. Gráinne started by sourcing incredible Irish beef. Selecting only the finest cattle breeds, raised on luscious green grass on Bord Bia Quality Assured farms by the best farmers Ireland has to offer. Using only whole-muscle cuts of fresh, grass-fed Irish beef, hand pressed on-site, we chargrill your burgers to smoky perfection in our open kitchen right in front of you. We pack your burger between two toasted pillows of our tailor-made bun - lovingly baked by David Coghlan and his family at Coghlan's Artisan Bakers in Kildare. Let's not forget to mention that if bacon on your burger is your thing, Gráinne has selected rare-breed Hampshire pigs reared by Luke Bogue on his farm in Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Traditionally cured, beechwood smoked & flat-top grilled to crispy perfection - there is no finer bacon for your burger. Gráinne reckons the best French fries are hand-cut & then triple cooked - so that's what we do. Not into meat? Fear not as we have partnered with Chef Mark Senn of Veginity who has created a Vegan/Vegetarian burger like no other...Barry & Keeva Murphy of Coolhull Farm have worked tirelessly with Gráinne on our ice-cream. Their family farm in Duncormick, Co. Wexford gets plenty of sunshine in the sunny south east. Their Holstein dairy cows only eat this sun-drenched grass from their farm all year round who in turn produce lip-smackingingly great milk. Barry & Keeva use their milk, from their cows, from their farm to make their own ice-cream. We here in BuJo are privileged to use Coolhull Farm ice cream for your dairy treats. Quincey Fennelly and his jolly comrades at the Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company in Bray, Co. Wicklow are providing BuJo with their award-winning, handcrafted & unfiltered suds. Ronan Farrell & Richie Byrne of the pioneering WineLab will tickle your tastebuds with a selection of their superb wines on tap...yep, on tap. Add to this, preservative & additive free cordials from Wexford's Clodagh Davis of Naturally Cordial and filtered coffee from 4-time Irish Barista Champion Colin Harmon of 3fe and we're pretty sure we have you all sorted.

Making a difference...
