Gemelles is cosy family run restaurant in the heart of Latin Quarter of Ireland’s favourite city, Galway.

Paulie Donnellan, the owner and head chef of Gemelles is a local Galway businessman who opened his first restaurant in 1991 in Middle street. To celebrate the birth of his twin daughters Paulie moved to Quay Street in 1998 and renamed the restaurant Gemelles – Italian for twins.

Born and reared in Galway, Paulie has seen many changes in the city however community spirit has always loomed large in his business ethics. Paulie has vowed to support small local businesses in the food and drink industry. He sources his product from Galway based suppliers as well as small family run businesses from all over the country.

At Gemelle’s customers are not only treated to a warm cosy and friendly atmosphere but also our recession busting menu.
