As an employer of choice, it is Home Instead's dependability, quality of care and accountability that has earned us such a deep level of trust with those we care for, their family and friends and health and social care professionals.
Home Instead Senior Care was the first home care organisation in Ireland to be a preferred provider for the Health Services Executive and the first to have a contract with them for the provision of enhanced home care services.
Our mission is 'to enhance the lives on older people and their families'. We do this by offering a premium service with the focus on relationship before task. That's why all Home Instead® CAREGivers go through ongoing, comprehensive training to ensure that those they care for are always put first.
We encourage CAREGivers to establish rewarding relationships with those they care for and their families so that the experience is distinctively 'care with a compassionate touch'.
Home Instead Senior Care is ISO 9001:2008 Healthmark approved - this is a globally recognised standard to let you know we adhere to the highest of standards in all that we do.
It's hard to put a price on the satisfaction our CAREGivers get from helping others in need, but we do just that. We provide excellent benefits and wages. Here's what we offer.
You may receive tips in hugs, but you'll also receive a pay cheque for your caregiving. Our pay rates vary according to level of training and type of shift. Beyond wages, we may also reimburse CAREGivers for mileage driven in your personal vehicle when you provide incidental transportation for your client.
As a member of our team, you will care for older people and their families throughout Ireland. The area you would like to work in, you decide. Your specific duties will vary dependent on the client as well as your level of expertise and training. In a certain way, there is no 'typical' day-in-the-life. But if we could peek into your future as a CAREGiver, here's what we might see you doing on any given day:
Life changes constantly. You may find your client napping a lot one day and very chatty the next. One day may find you driving your client to the doctor, while the next day sees you listening to old radio programmes online. No matter what each day brings, you must be prepared to meet it with grace and good cheer. The one constant in your life as a CAREGiver? Variety.
Home Instead Senior Care recognises regional 'CAREGivers of the Year' on an annual basis and each year choosing a winner doesn't get any easier. Once a year, we then ask an independent panel of experts in the health care sector to select from all entries a person to be the recipient of the prestigious accolade of, 'National Home Instead CAREGiver of the Year'. This CAREGiver is someone who shows exceptional dedication in their role and goes above and beyond to enhance the lives of the person(s) they care for. This programme inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence and creates a sense of pride by recognising all the amazing work CAREGivers to each and every day.
Supporting seniors to live at home is all about developing extraordinary relationships between our CAREGivers and those they care for. We believe the support home care provides to families is only as strong as the mutual connection between the CAREGiver and the older person. The result is a personal commitment adapted to the needs of the person availing of home care services. Whatever each day may bring, the relationship-first approach enables Home Instead Senior Care to help bring families together by anticipating the changing needs of the older person at home and in the community. By living 'To us, it's personal' Home Instead Senior Care makes a real difference to the lives of the people around us.
In Ireland we have a tradition of great caregiving, so we like to 'take care of our own', as well as taking care of our clients and their families. Employee recognition is deeply valued in our organisation and we want our employees to become part of the Home Instead team and really enjoy coming to work everyday.
