You may receive tips in hugs, but you'll also receive a pay cheque for your caregiving. Our pay rates vary according to level of training and type of shift. Beyond wages, we may also reimburse CAREGivers for mileage driven in your personal vehicle when you provide incidental transportation for your client.
As a member of our team, you will care for older people and their families throughout Ireland. The area you would like to work in, you decide. Your specific duties will vary dependent on the client as well as your level of expertise and training. In a certain way, there is no 'typical' day-in-the-life. Once a year, we then ask an independent panel of experts in the health care sector to select from all entries a person to be the recipient of the prestigious accolade of, 'National Home Instead CAREGiver of the Year'. This CAREGiver is someone who shows exceptional dedication in their role and goes above and beyond to enhance the lives of the person(s) they care for.
