The EMEA Revenue Operations Director is responsible for supporting EMEA Commercial and Enterprise Sales teams, including but not limited to, deal structure, order processing, and compensation calculations, while ensuring orders are in compliance to revenue recognition & company policy. This person will be responsible for managing the EMEA Orders to Cash process within the organization’s established policies and procedures and in accordance with current GAAP & IFRS policies. Work and communicate effectively in a team environment interacting with all levels in the sales, operations and finance organizations.

This position is a leadership position and will report to the VP of Revenue

​Responsibilities:

  • Work with Sales and Legal departments developing customer contracts ensuring both customer objectives and company revenue recognition accounting policies are adhered to
  • Ensure compliance with VSOE for the purposes of revenue recognition
  • Prepare and lead the implementation of revenue related accounting policies and procedures
  • Review and document complex, multi-element sales contracts
  • Provide pre-sales internal support & guidance to EMEA Account Executives and EMEA Account Managers on contract negotiations.
  • Work with and train the EMEA Sales and revenue operations groups to ensure that the proper revenue recognition criteria are well understood
  • Work with Rev Rec, Collections, and Legal on contract issues and provide suggestions and assistance for contract negotiation in order to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Hire, train, coach an Order Management Specialist and an expanded team of Revenue Operations professionals as the function continues to scale within the EMEA region
  • Assist EMEA Sales in addressing ongoing customer satisfaction inquires related to contract, invoice and product issues
  • Responsible for daily/monthly audits of all Compliance reports
  • Ensure all approved requests have been properly documented in accordance to Revenue Operation processes, escalated to the appropriate approval level, and resolved within SLA
  • Work on process development ad hoc projects as assigned by the VP of Revenue

​Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong experience of related financial and accounting experience in a software environment
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards
  • Experience in an international business environment
  • Ability to summarize and present complex accounting issues to senior leaders
  • Contract structuring and commission calculation experience
  • Process improvement and/or project management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues, ability to think quickly
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem solving abilities, and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative
  • Ability to understand broader business and financial issues and juggle multiple projects and tasks
  • Strong level of expertise in Microsoft suite of tools, Zuora, Netsuite, and Salesforce.com applications
