The Role:

It’s no secret we’ve been working on improving the UX of our existing site. We’ve started on a journey to deliver amazing user experiences across platforms for all forty million plus of our site visitors per month. But the work has only begun. We’re now looking for an experienced UX designer to join our Product Design team based in Dublin HQ, who’s keen to play a key role in creating better experiences across our existing and new products.

About you

We’re looking for somebody with at least 3 years experience championing UX in an online product. You’ll be the type of person who can’t visit a single website without deconstructing the experience and thinking of how you’d improve it. You’re probably thinking about it now. You may have started life in design, development or information architecture before finding your true calling in UX. Although passionate about design, having the right attitude, and being a team player is just as important to us.

Requirements

Here’s what we’d like to see:

  • A portfolio of sites, services or products where you’ve made a significant contribution to improving the UX. We want to understand how you think and how you arrive at design solutions – the journey is just as important to us.
  • The ability to identify what problems we should be solving and frame them accordingly
  • Experience designing consumer facing products or ecommerce experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience designing for mobile (native and web-based) would be extremely beneficial
  • Experience using UX methods, user-centered design processes (Research, wireframes through to finished designs and everything in between).
  • Experience conducting user testing and incorporating feedback in your work.
  • Someone who thinks about design holistically – and understands how their decisions impact across a complex system.
  • Someone who is comfortable working within a cross disciplined team – e.g. Product Managers, Business Analysts, Research, Development etc.
  • Working through your designs with the Engineering team and driving the quality of finish on the product.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate your designs and the rationale behind them to stakeholders.
  • A good grasp of wireframing tools such as Axure, Sketch, Balsamiq, Adobe Create Suite, HTML etc.
  • Someone who want to be part of a growing Product Design team and to contribute strongly.
