The opportunity

The successful candidate will assist the IT operations team in performing the day to day IT duties for the organisation. These duties will range from systems administration, testing and/or data analysis.

Role Overview

· Configuration of several Brandtone platform applications to test and deploy mobile marketing campaigns for our clients

· System Administration across multiple technical platforms including Windows Server, Tomcat, Active Directory, Oracle, AWS

· Application management for in-house Oracle/Java stack systems including troubleshooting internal and customer-facing issues

· Work in cross-functional Agile teams on technical projects involving various teams such as Software development, QA, Dev-Ops, Infrastructure, Data reporting and analytics

· Maintain the local IT infrastructure within the Dublin office (Windows Server/ Desktop, Cisco Firewalls/switch devices, LAN/Wifi, Symantec Endpoint Protection/BackupExec etc

· Maintain, update and improve internal training resources for both tech and non-tech teams globally

Key Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years’ prior experience in the IT sector with some experience in the role areas mentioned above. In addition, your experience and personal characteristics should include:

  • Experience of server application and interface troubleshooting and fault investigation
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and able to write simple to intermediate queries
  • Able to work on your own initiative, with proven ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
  • Great communication skills when dealing with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Be approachable, and a natural collaborator with others. Have a positive, proactive "can do" attitude
  • Be adaptable to a dynamic and vibrant technical environment
  • Have a passion for technology and contribute to improving processes and ways of working.
  • Experience of working with external clients or on delivering client facing tasks
  • Exposure to some of Linux, Tomcat, Windows, JMS, Active Directory, etc
  • Have a personal interest in computer programming and/or Devops functions
  • Have a basic understanding of major mobile telecoms protocols – e.g. SMS, SIP, USSD
  • Experience working with a ticketing workflow system, preferably JIRA
  • Some experience of working with Amazon AWS.
