Short Summary:

We are looking for a Microsoft Windows System Administrator to join our Tech Ops group, who is ready to hit the ground running, and is able to handle shifting priorities on an ongoing basis.

Proven experience in fulfilling the specified duties of this role for a medium sized business in a regulated industry following the ISO 27001 information security standards and compliance.

At least 2 years of experience of being a System Administrator.

Degree in Computer Science.

  • Fortigate firewall guest administration
  • Complex physical and logical network documenting (Cisco Catalyst)
  • Exposure to Intune Mobile Device Management

  • Cisco Catalyst switch port / VLAN management on a RBAC basis
  • Network and server rooms cabling management and patching
  • Technical and non-technical writing proficiency; experienced in translating technical documentation into

Internal customer support duties:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance in person or over the phone or email; experience assisting customers at all seniority levels
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Follow-up and update customer status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking (Client, Ethernet, IP)
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in OTRS

Additional general system Administration duties:

  • Manage the online and offline asset registry
  • Manage the removable media registry
  • Install applications and computers, peripherals for Windows, Linux, Mac platforms
  • Provision and de-provision IT staff according to policies
  • Maintain documentation for physical and logical network layouts for Cisco Catalyst switches
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements to IT systems and procedures
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
  • Deploy Windows operating systems via Windows Deployment Services
  • Windows image full cycle management
  • Develop technical documentation and manuals for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deal with suppliers to order new hardware to meet company specifications
  • Centralised and endpoint anti-virus deployment, update, troubleshooting, and maintenance with ESET 6
  • Centralised encryption deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance with ESET DESlock+
  • Manage WSUS updates and clients for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 7

Desirable Requirements:

  • Windows 10 deployment (WDS and WSUS)
  • AWS or similar cloud technologies
