Graphic Designer (Web & Print) (freelance/contract) at Unique Communications in Dublin, Ireland

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced graphic designer to join our small but vibrant team.

We are seeking a good all-round designer. You will be equally adept at UI/UX design for websites and digital design for email, ezines, online ads, etc. as well as designing print marketing material (e.g. for logos, brochures, fliers, direct mail, POS, advertisements, etc.).

You will work closely with our Managing Director, Client Services staff, Programmers. You will have the ability to take a design brief from clients and internal team and come up with suitable print or digital design solutions to achieve the desired goals, whether that be improved brand identity, effective communication of messages, a fun promotion, or increasing direct enquiries and sales.

Not only will you be good at design, but you will also understand the intrinsic relationship between design and good copy and content, always keeping an eye on your finished work for typos or improvements… and you will of course be able to come up with good - sometimes simple, sometimes creative or far-reaching - design ideas, and that will ultimately deliver results.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will help devise and implement effective design solutions for our clients and internal projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Listen to or read and understand design briefs
  • Research and present design outlines, mood boards, homepage mock-ups,
  • Design print material including posters, fliers, direct mail materials, brochures, booklets, exhibition displays, POS materials, etc.
  • Design logos and brand identities
  • Design websites, landing pages, promotional emailers and ezines, infographics, Facebook and Google display ads, graphics for social media posts
  • Maintain time sheets
  • Liaise with our web programmers, digital marketing and clients services staff as necessary
  • Liaise with printers and other suppliers as necessary for the production of relevant print and promotional materials
  • Liaise with clients as necessary
  • Update design elements of the company website, digital and print marketing marketing materials


  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to work in our office during daytime hours
  • Relevant design qualifications
  • Min. 2-3 years’ experience
  • Own Mac & relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills (computer, spoken & written)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, focused and driven
  • Outgoing confident personality
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small dynamic team
