Kildare Village’s corporate responsibility approach is fundamental in terms of scope, values, behaviours and ethics. Kildare Village is a major direct employer and a generator of indirect employment in each of the communities in which it works. It creates lasting partnerships with the Village communities and local stakeholders. Kildare Village promotes the principle of sustainability in all facets of the business while also ensuring that it maintains the benchmarks of design and quality in the Villages.
"I started working in Kildare Village in 2009. Having visited many times as a customer, I was always attracted to the sense of community around the village and the relaxed, friendly environment in which to shop in. When I arrived in the village as a new comer, I was made feel very welcomed by Kildare Village and other store members too. As a garden lover, I love the landscaping and how it changes with the seasons and is always nice to see what flowers will be coming next. Kildare Village love to throw a party for the stores and I don’t think I have ever missed one. From summer BBQ’s to Black Tie balls, from Arthurs day celebrations to casual drinks in the pub. Kildare town itself is a great town with a nice local atmosphere with lots of great places to eat and drink. The green bus stops at Kildare Village meaning Dublin is only a bus ride away which is really great for getting to and from the Capital. Having come from a Dublin City environment where parking is really hard to find to Kildare Village with free staff parking on site, it is really a great place to work." Alan Tiernan – Store Manager – Aquascutum
"I began working full time in Kildare village in October 2015 having spent two years in Melbourne, Australia. From the beginning, I was made feel welcome and before long, I had made friends with fellow employees both in my store and other stores around the centre. Throughout my time working here I have attended many training sessions and meetings provided by Value Retail. They are always delivered with such enthusiasm and allow for my professional development with an opportunity to meet with staff from a diverse background. I am priveleged to be a part of a destination that is ever growing and constantly delivering beyond expectations of retail in Ireland. I look forward to what comes in the future and continung to be a part of the success." Jamie O’ Rourke- Assistant Store Manager- Aquascutum
