About Us

Just a 10-15-minute drive from Dublin City Centre, this landmark establishment in the seclusion of the Strawberry Beds – next door to the Phoenix Park – has a history that stretches back to Cromwellian times and the famous patriot Michael Collins. It has long been considered as his the favourite watering hole and for anglers fishing along the banks of the adjacent River Liffey.

The Anglers Rest is a busy venue with a great team of 45 members making each day special for each of it's guests.


From time to time the Anglers Rest requires new team members to fill vacancies including chefs, kitchen porters, waiting staff, floor supervisors and general cleaning staff. The ideal candidate will be considered for training and an opportunity to develop within the team.


The opportunity would be ideal for candidates with a minimum numbers of 2 years experience and available to work evenings and weekends. As the Anglers Rest is a destination venue it would suit a person who is able to drive or a person within cycling distance of the venue. The staff are provided with a meal during their shift and involved in many social events during the year.
