We are Hostmaker and we are looking for a Business Development and Sales Superstar to join our growing Team!

​What can you expect?

  • You will report directly into our Customer Acquisition Leader who is busy spreading the word about Hostmaker's presence in London, Rome, Barcelona and our newest city - Paris!
  • Manage our inbound leads: our phone is rung off the hook and new customer messages are flooding our inbox. We feel chuffed. You will help us stay on top of incoming leads generated by the marketing team and keep the responsiveness at impressively high levels.
  • Understand Hostmaker's value proposition, call, organise and go to flat visits to convince new hosts that their hosting adventures will be better with us on their side.
  • Contribute to the company overall strategy in finding new opportunities of growth.
  • Outreach and actively seek for high level business opportunities and close deals.
  • Put your slick social skills to use daily, liaising between multiple teams across the business and, of course, with our new hosts.
  • Ensure that there is a smooth handover to Account Management. This might require support to the on-boarding team in writing and putting some listings live on Airbnb.
  • To work full-time, and over occasionally some weekends and bank holidays (rotas implemented). Alas, it can’t all be fun and games (but we do have plenty of those too!)

Who You Are?

  • You are a travel enthusiast, obviously, but you also eat and drink where the locals do.
  • You have an interest in design, properties and real estate.
  • You get a thrill out of nailing a sales pitch.
  • You are incredibly organised: efficiency is key.
  • Your grammar is flawless and emails are articulate. We're old fashioned that way.
  • You bring 2+ years of sales, business development or customer acquisition experience.
  • You are competitive and improving your customer conversion metrics are top of mind. All the time.
  • You bring big ideas about how Hostmaker can continuously improve our host acquisition, unafraid to explore new ways of doing things to grow the family of Hostmaker Hosts.
  • You don’t overlook the little details. Prove that to us by mentioning your favourite travel destination in your application to us. We're serious - it shows us you're really engaged and not applying to everything in sight :)
