KOMPAS is looking for a UX Designer keen to be a part of a fast growing startup alongside an innovative and creative team. As the UX designer you will design user and customer focused interactive journeys, using UX tools and turn these wireframes into pixel-perfect visual designs for all digital channels. You will implement best UX practices supporting user research and evaluating user feedback by iterating user journeys and design work. Collaboration with stakeholders and other departments is key. In terms of the culture, lots of team collaboration & lots of company collaboration. When we’re not all in the creative mode you’ll probably find yourself relaxing in the park with the team or attending funky design events.
This exciting role every so often will require you to speak to end-customers in order to gauge a better understanding for the process and the value, which means stepping out of the office. Communication with the development team is also crucial in determining the technical possibilities and solutions whilst working directly with the product team. Creative control across the company as our first permanent UX designer offers great opportunity to lead with innovative ideas and explore new creative solutions.
Other Skills Required
Modestly speaking, the best job you’ll ever have is here at KOMPAS. We’re all about pushing you to be the best that you can be, and doing everything that we can to support you along the way. We’re an inclusive, well-rounded and culturally diverse team, with many nationalities and languages being included in the mix.
Our office is rarely boring, and you’ll never leave the office feeling low, that’s our guarantee to you. Let’s just say that we’re fairly confident that everyone who’s a part of KOMPAS could almost certainly find employment in stand-up comedy if this travel stuff doesn’t quite pan out.
Have we mentioned that we’ve got copious amounts of coffee and tea in the office, and that we make sure you’re always stacked up on free fruit. After all, those vitamins are important. Plus, each week there’s breakfast served on a Monday, and on a Thursday you can tuck into a locally sourced slice of pizza and a can of beer.
We’re based in Work.Life London Fields, and we love it here because of the community, so even if you don’t like anyone in the office (that’s genuinely not possible), you’ll get to meet lots of other people (and the odd dog) around.
You’ll be working alongside the CPO and the rest of the design team to ensure the KOMPAS application is seamless and easy to use. You’ll have the opportunity to put your full set of skills to use working in an innovative environment. You’ll be based in our London offices.
