Our ideal Node.js developer candidate will be proficient in all areas of Javascript and will analyse our current node server for weaknesses to improve on. You will be running multi-instance node servers to run our cluster databases with indexes on cloud services. Keeping up-to-date with latest trends in the JS world is a huge plus as we’re always looking to improve our current stack with new improved methodology. Creativity is encouraged to come up with innovate ways to seamlessly block services together in a performance and secure driven manner. We want a team player who can handle well under pressure as we’re very much a startup culture company.

What Will You Do?

  • Enhance, maintain and test current and future backend structures
  • Manage MongoDB Cluster database architectures
  • Implementation of security and data protection

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
  • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
  • Understanding of AWS Elastic Beanstalk and MongoDB Atlas
  • Great communication skills and ability to use software such as Slack and Google Drive

Your Team

You’ll be working with a combination of junior and senior engineers, and will be working closely with the CTO. You’ll have the opportunity to put your full set of skills to use, ensuring that all of the code is well factored and integrated into existing platforms. You’ll be based in our London offices.
