Content Editor, French at Secret Escapes in London, United Kingdom

We’re searching for an amazing content editor, a native French speaker who is fluent in English, to help us venture further into the French market. Not such a big ask, right?

You will be based in our head office in Holborn, London.

Being part of an amazing team, this person will help produce our French language content - be it hotel copy, social media content or apps translation, marketing and email copy and the overall tone of voice for this particular territory.

Main responsibilities

  • Produce punchy short creative content to attract our audience and stand out from our competitors throughout our communications channels, such as emails, social media, marketing campaigns
  • Manage elements of the uploading, editing and image selection process in our CMS for each hotel or holiday selected for the site
  • Manage our freelancers’ workload and ensure on-brand copy in accordance with our style guide and sub-editing copy written by freelancers
  • Liaising with freelancers and the rest of the French team to ensure sales are on time and on brand
  • Merchandising each offer to ensure the copy and the images sell
  • Creating on-brand posts for our various social media channels and compiling monthly reports on all activities in accordance with our strategy
  • Researching and writing sales for our website

Role Requirements

Previous writing or web copywriting experience (in French, please) is essential - we have quick turn-around times and we need a speedy accurate copy. Travel copywriting experience or experience in the editorial team of a flash sales company would be dreamy.
