Title: Quality Control Assistant

Reports to: Adam Smith (Social Media Ops Manager) / Rich Houghton (Social Video Manager)

Based at: Manchester

The role

UNILAD has built an incredible following by sourcing and sharing some of the most engaging content in the world. We’ve entertained millions by finding entertaining videos and asking the video owner’s permission to share it on our Facebook pages.

With our brand reaching more and more people every day, we need an extra line of defence before content is posted to the UNILAD Facebook page. This is where you come in! We’re looking for a perfectionist with a keen eye for quality control; spelling, alignment, tone and consistency.

You will work with the Social Media team and video editors, feeding back to the senior team, ensuring our posted content is meeting the high level of quality our audience expects.

What you will be doing

  1. Checking over draft edits from the main page video editor team for spelling, alignment and consistent tone.
  2. Offering feedback to the video editors, relevant to parameters outlined above in point 1.
  3. Reporting on video editor performance to the Social Video Manager.
  4. Checking over all content posts to UNILAD vertical pages (E.g. Tech, Film and Gaming), logging quality concerns and reporting these to the Senior Social Media team.
  5. Maintain logs of all quality concerns to be used in monthly reporting.

  • Excellent time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A ‘perfectionist’s’ eye.
  • Self-starting with a determination to complete tasks.
  • Ability to orient oneself within a team and determination to work together to achieve UNILAD’s goals.
  • An organised and efficient approach to documentation.
  • Quality control experience in a similar industry useful.
  • Team management useful but not essential.
  • Foreign languages incredibly useful but not essential.
  • A relevant degree desired but not essential.
