HR Advisor at UNILAD in London, United Kingdom

Overview:


The role of the HR Advisor is to provide support to the HR Manager and assist with a variety of HR related duties. Your role is to act as the liaison between the HR Manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries. This role will primarily support UNILAD and Wildfire in the London office; however, you will have the opportunity to work on HR initiatives that support all UNILAD offices.


What you will be doing


General


  • Providing HR Admin support for London & New York office - Act as first point of contact for all general HR queries.
  • Management of the HR system
  • Reporting for the HR Manager
  • General admin tasks - filing, archiving, scanning, formatting and ensuring that the HR system is up to date
  • Providing reference requests for leavers, employment verifications and support with visa applications when required.
  • Coordinating external and internal training programmes. Assisting with the HR payroll process to ensure that information provided to finance is accurate
  • Assist with other HR projects as and when required
  • Supporting the HR Manager with all ER matters – grievances, disciplinary & investigations when needed.
  • Coach line managers and manage the probation process alongside coaching line managers on all stages of absence and performance management
  • Advise on employee development
  • Implement and update policies. Advise employees where necessary.

On-boarding & Induction for London Office


  • Delivering the UNILAD induction programme for all new starters, and liaising with Recruitment Team for all new starter information and updates
  • Setting employees up on the HR system, and ensuring their welcome pack and email is set up for their first day
  • Carrying out ‘right to work’ checks for all new starters on their first day of employment with us
  • Managing the leavers process to ensure any employees leaving have a smooth transition out of the company


ER


  • Supporting the HR Manager with all ER matters – grievances, disciplinary & investigations when needed.
  • Coach line managers and manage the probation process alongside coaching line managers on all stages of absence and performance management

Skills and abilities:


  • 1-3 years’ experience within a HR role.
  • Media / Publishing background is a must
  • A university degree, preferably in Human Resource Management, psychology or Business, preferable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail, and highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken coupled with excellent administration skills
  • Resilient
