Branded Video Director
UNILAD are on the lookout for an exceptional video director, experienced in directing outstanding and creative branded content. We're a social first publisher currently experiencing record growth. This is an opportunity to make a great impact, creating remarkable videos viewed by over 30 million people every month.
We are looking for raw talent, with an innate understanding of content driven by social media, fanatical on how audiences’ interests are sparked by video.
What you will be doing:
- Directing, shooting and producing branded video content to a very high standard
- Brainstorming concepts for projects and pitches
- Storyboarding and script writing, staying on brief whilst maintaining the tone of UNILAD
- Meeting and pitching to clients, stirring excitement in the delivery of your ideas.
- Edit producing, providing clear instruction in crafting a story that connects with both brand and audience.
- Writing proposals and building quotes
- Working with talent both on and off set, nurturing the best possible performance of both contributor and crew.
- Troubleshooting on creative projects acting as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders, helping to interpret, collate and express feedback in a constructive way, ensuring creative standards and approaches are consistently maintained.
- Cutting and importing rushes when needed
- Keeping on top of the latest industry developments and technology
- Training junior members in the best filming techniques and standards
What we need for this role:
- Storytelling abilities executable in video
- A strong understanding of Facebook as a media platform, how content is consumed and delivered
- A broad aesthetic, diverse creative styles and an ability to bring to life a creative team’s vision
- Excellent technical ability and a command of all aspects production, including working knowledge of broadcast and DSLR cams as well as proficient experience using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Great communication skills; would be expected to attend pre-production meetings, working closely with creatives, producers, project managers and technical staff, as well as of course directing shoots.
