Secret Escapes are looking to expand the Display team to meet all the ambitions for 2018 and onwards. It is an exciting time for the team and we are looking for a motivated delivery focused addition to supporting the growth in the UK and beyond. 

Overall Job Purpose

Reporting to the Display Manager, this person will be an eager digital marketer with some first experiences with one or some of the main digital channels. Preferably with a focus on display advertising and paid social. 

The assistant will be responsible for supporting on the day to day management and optimisation of Secret Escapes’ display marketing campaigns in the UK, in line with marketing and business objectives. This includes but is not limited to hitting CPL and budget targets, finding and negotiating new partner deals, testing ads and landing pages, preparing copy/image and making improvement recommendations.

In addition to this, the role will assist in various cross-channel and brand marketing tasks from planning, production to implementation and evaluation. As we grow we need to nurture our brand equity and the assistant will also be helping with project managing different ad hoc branding projects and product launches together with Brand Director.

Hitting performance targets on monthly basis, launching new display campaigns and focusing on continuous optimisation across multiple affiliates.

Things you’ll be working on

  • Work closely with the Display Managers and Head of Display to execute the media plan for this channel
  • Supporting on developing the Display advertising strategies to achieve our traffic, revenue and efficiency targets through this channel
  • Execute optimisation tactics on daily and weekly basis to improve campaign performance and ensure monthly KPIs are achieved. (CPL & CPA)
  • Execute ad copy and landing page A/B tests on regular basis to drive higher efficiency
  • Analysing sets of data to provide the team with optimisation and new campaign opportunities
  • Support Brand Director with cross-channel and partnership campaigns as project manager
  • Keep up to date with display best practices, industry research and competitors’ campaigns
  • Support on planning, execution and analysis of the Display advertising campaigns end to end (briefs, creative design, targeting, media buy, testing, tracking set-up, scheduling, etc.)
  • Joint direct point of contact for 3rd party partners, publishers and creative agencies
  • Spotting potential to implement innovative new methodologies and improve performance

The deal breakers

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Some first experiences with Digital marketing campaigns a plus
  • Passion for advertising, technology and innovation
  • Good basic Excel skills are crucial, use of formulas and Pivot Tables to handle data sets

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and ability to meet deadlines
  • Aware of own time management and starting to develop organisational skills

  • Another European language than English is advantageous
  • Ability and eagerness to pass on knowledge to other team members
