We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial and motivated events operations manager who can help us organize and execute our diverse range of premier social events, including large cocktail parties, art gallery receptions, group dinners, film screenings and speaker series.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized, enthusiastic, and able to see opportunities in obstacles. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, efficient organizational skills, and the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Event Management and Communications

  • Oversee all event requests for the national events calendar across all IVY markets
  • Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific event programs are delivered efficiently between divisions and across national IVY markets
  • Prepare financial reports such as cost analysis, budgets and any ad-hoc Finance related projects that may arise
  • Interpret the direction of strategy/planning/concepts that come from the team and implement ideas as needed.
  • Track and reconcile national spending to adhere to events budget
  • Propose ideas to improve services and quality of events
  • Assist with event concept building and theme development

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in administrative experience, event planning, organization, and production
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, management, project management or similar area of study
  • Strong background in administration, sales, operations or negotiations
  • Stable job history exhibiting an 110% commitment
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting exposure
  • Professional and able to work with all levels in the organizational structure with integrity and respect. Must be able to interact with stores associates, events guests, and external partners and vendors. Energetic, upbeat and outgoing personality.
  • Works efficiently to keep up with a fast-paced environment, while still producing thoughtful work. Creative with an eye for design
  • Advanced level MS Excel with the ability to create pivot tables, vlookups.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
