This position will be responsible for provisioning of Data services on the Vonage state-of-the-art Hosted IP PBX VoIP platform; MPLS based IP network, and customer premise equipment. The Data Provisioner III will take a complete customer order and be responsible for end-to-end design of all data-related components needed to deliver the service. The Data Provisioner III will also be interacting with the end customer to obtain clarifications on their requirements. The Data Provisioner III is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the data implementation process are documented in Vonage systems.

Your mission

  • Design and implement complex routing and switching for multi-location and Individual-Case-Basis customers
  • Review all project documentation and participate in Project meetings with the customer as well as internal staff.
  • Design configurations for all data equipment required for deployment including routers, switches, firewalls, ATAs, and other devices.
  • Provide technical leadership of internal and external resources to ensure a successful customer implementation and resolution of any post cutover deficiencies.
  • Serve as the first level operational escalation point for all assigned customer-related issues.
  • Mentor the lower-level data provisioners on advanced design and implementation tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Cisco (routers, switches and Firewall) and Adtran
  • CISCO CCNP certification in Routing and Switching, Voice, or Service Provider required
  • Strong background and hands-on experience with CPE routers, LAN switches and peripheral equipment. Experience with CISCO and ADTRAN products is a must
  • Strong background in Firewall Configuration and Implementation required, including VPNs, Tunneling, Failover, Centralized Web Security, etc
  • In-depth knowledge of various WAN technologies (T1, E1, T3, E3, STM, SONET and MetroE).
  • Working knowledge of MPLS technology and services is required (LDP, RSVP, L3VPN)
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Working knowledge and experience with VOIP Telephone services and PBX-based features is desired.
  • Must be organized and able to work in a quickly-changing internal and external environment.
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Strong familiarity with PCs including but not limited to Excel, MS Word, general database and word processing software
  • Communication and interpersonal skills required in order to interact both orally and written with customers and management
  • Must be able to multitask, work tight deadlines and focus on project completion.
