Responsibilities

The Account Manager will be responsible for renewing all customer accounts and up selling about a third of assigned accounts in your portfolio. This will be accomplished by:

  • Showing customers how they are gaining value from the product based on their initial purchase driver
  • Developing executive-level relationships with CMOs and VPs of Marketing
  • Establishing a relationship with your customers that spans the entire client lifecycle and not just at the time of renewal or crisis
  • Working closely with the client success managers to stay abreast of details at an account, such as employee turnover, product usage, etc.

We are looking for someone who loves customers and cares about their success, but who also isn’t afraid to talk about money when the time is right. You’ll be busy – we have a lot of customers and you’ll be juggling many deadlines each quarter while keeping one eye on the next two quarters.

You’ll be measured on net-neutral churn rates as well as your expansion revenue amount, so you need a proven track record of sales results. Additionally, your success will also be determined by your ability to work effectively with a client success team to jointly build success for customers.

​Skills and Experience:

  • Sound knowledge of the marketing technology landscape – e.g. marketing automation’s capabilities and limitations, the increasing importance of ABM (and you know what that is!), etc.
  • You can speak “marketing” and understand terms like “funnel”, “nurturing” and “lead scoring”
  • Experience working with a client success team to jointly work towards common goals and prefer working in an environment where someone else handles the day to day while you are removed from the active hands-on execution
  • 3-6 years’ experience in a sales or account management
  • Ability to forecast and track the status of multiple transactions on an ongoing basis
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
