About you:

The Director of Recruiting will be focused on people and culture, with oversight of the strategic direction of the talent roadmap. This role will also be responsible for creating a world class recruiting function to shape the future of the company. The successful candidate will set our recruiting vision and strategy and roll up their sleeves to make it happen.

​What you will do and what will make you shine:

  • Work with business leaders to create and drive a recruiting vision and strategy that supports the short-term and long-term business needs
  • Partner with executive and founding team on hiring strategies, priority lists, metrics, and new market development for AppDirect globally
  • Define the company’s recruiting metrics and establish reporting to measure effectiveness. Create and report on recruiting metrics, including but not limited to: tracking actual to plan, hiring velocity, diversity, quality of hire, speed to hire, cost per hire
  • Articulate clear outcomes, a roadmap, and success metrics to achieve the company’s vision
  • Collaborate with leaders to translate hiring projections into talent acquisition strategies
  • Establish a creative, collaborative, inclusive working environment
  • Build a high-performing team that delivers and embraces changing business needs
  • Develop the team as a coach and mentor to cultivate the next generation recruiting leaders
  • Oversee the full recruitment and selection process to include the process of sourcing and passive candidate outreach, developing and maintaining candidate relationships, phone screens and job interviews, background checks and offers. Personally handle recruitment for crucial managerial and executive positions
  • Be an industry leader. Take bold steps to attract and hire diverse future employees
  • Collaborate with Communications to champion our employer brand, both internally and externally
  • Continuously seek to streamline processes to ensure an extraordinary candidate experience
  • Measure and track recruiting spend and return on investment for key activities
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (experience with Lever is a plus)

​Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 8 years of recruiting and recruiting leadership
  • Strong track record of demonstrating superior ability to source and attract top talent, assess capability for both technical and interpersonal fit, negotiate offers, and seal the deal
  • Experience with diversity hiring and a passion for creating an inclusive workplace
  • Track record of innovation: you keep yourself up-to-date on trends in the wider recruiting world and implement per your recommendations
  • Results driven self-starter: takes initiative and consistently delivers results of the highest quality, personally and through his/her team, take accountability for one’s work, has a sense of urgency, overcomes hurdles, and ensures that results are delivered
  • Interpersonal savvy and self-awareness: relates well with others; considers and responds appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of different people in different situations, is tactful, compassionate and sensitive, and treats others with respect. Understands how others perceive them and has the ability to flex their own style to the situation for greater effectiveness
  • Strong data-analysis skills; proven ability to use metrics and data to support critical thinking and improvement of the function
