About you:

AppDirect is seeking an experienced product manager with a passion for innovation to lead the team responsible for end-to-end marketplace management and reseller experiences. You will become a key member of the AppDirect product management team and will work closely with our software engineers to drive the AppMarket and AppReseller product lines through all development and go-to-market phases -- from conceptualization, through launch and into wide-scale adoption globally. A significant part of your role will be acting as a liaison between the business and technical worlds, requiring you to quickly context switch between product strategy and customer needs assessment, to technically complex problem solving and solution design.

  • Own the product vision for the AppMarket and AppReseller product lines, which continue to represent the primary sources of revenue growth for AppDirect
  • Ensuring your product vision aligns with overall product and company strategy.
  • Understand and champion your marketplace and reseller customer needs. Collect customer feedback, nurture customer relationships, and bring the voice of the customer to your product development process.
  • Be the subject matter expert internally on AppMarket and AppReseller product lines, understanding the detailed end-to-end customer journey.
  • Develop and manage your product roadmap, continuously articulating your rationale for prioritization and driving tough tradeoffs decisions to balance competing stakeholder interests.
  • Constantly assess your product-market fit, using customer insights, competitive analysis and your own industry knowledge to adapt to changing conditions and refine your approach.
  • Apply your subject matter experience and expertise in the commerce services domain to attract, retain and grow your highly productive and engaged product management team.
  • Work within our iterative product development process and take ownership to ensure product delivery deadlines and customer commitments are met.
  • Define detailed commerce services business requirements and work closely with our software engineers and architects on innovative solutions that take usability and scalability into account.
  • Engage cross-functionally with product marketing, sales and other stakeholders to ensure flawless go-to-market execution of your AppMarket and AppReseller product roadmap.
  • Produce content for engineering, sales, and product marketing to consume for product launches, training, or technical specs.
  • Keep a watchful eye on your product’s performance, ensuring performance and reliability meets customer needs and issues are solved quickly.
  • Own your measures of success, converting your KPIs to actions.

​Your profile:

  • 5 or more years of product management experience in multi-tenant SaaS e-commerce marketplace, commerce services or similar domain.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar discipline. 1 or more years of management consulting experience is desirable.
  • Extensive experience defining e-commerce customer experiences end-to-end, to optimize customer experience, increase conversion and basket size.
  • Experience product managing a highly complex multi-tenant SaaS platform with complex workflows, built for scale and iterative product innovation.
  • Strong experience managing products/product lines over their end-to-end lifecycle, building business justification for resources, and having a sense of ownership and accountability for business results.
  • Experience defining REST/JSON APIs and Webhooks for both internal and external customer/partner integrations.
  • Expertise leading product teams practicing Agile software development methodology.
  • Demonstrated track record at developing and executing long term and customer focused strategic product roadmaps.
  • Affinity for designing highly engaging and intuitive user experiences.
  • Understanding of service modularity concepts (Service Oriented Architecture).
  • Experience with reseller channels enablement (VAR and MSPs) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable engaging enterprise customers and presenting at executive levels, across both business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability leading geographically diverse cross-functional product teams.
  • Analytical and detail oriented approach to your work, while also being quick to act and results driven.
  • Strong ability to break down very complex problems into actionable steps that drive cross-functionally to execute and deliver under aggressive time constraints.
