Sales Development Team Manager at EDITED in New York, United States

About this role

You’ll be managing, supporting and growing a team of Sales Development Representatives, helping them hit and exceed their commercial team targets, as well as working with different areas of the business to come up with new approaches to spread the word about EDITED, and to ensure alignment across departments.

Day to day, you’ll not only be responsible for target management and KPI monitoring, but you’ll have ownership of side by side onboarding, training and motivating (all of which are super important to us).

You’ll be comfortable with helping our Sales Development Representatives navigate deals with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious brands and retailers, coaching them through difficult conversations with senior executives in order to hit those monthly, quarterly and annual team goals.

You will lead by example and bring credible experience and leadership in growing and evolving team attributes/behaviours, in alignment with our company goals and growth.

Responsibilities

  • It’s a broad role! Including but not restricted to side by side onboarding, Sales Development, KPI monitoring, Reporting and Report Analysis, training, Coaching, Motivating, One to One’s, Career Modelling and Behavioural Management.
  • You’ll help your team navigate and qualify new deals and in turn, achieve and exceed their team goals
  • You’ll be reporting directly to the VP Sales, and working closely together on key learnings, new initiatives and team strategy
  • You’ll be working across departments to ensure alignment and value from/to all

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in existing inside sales/sales development management for a software or SaaS company
  • Ideally you have experience working within the retail sector (Desired)
  • You’re someone who leads by example - previously having worked in Sales Development yourself, you have mid-market to enterprise Sales Development experience in the US
  • You’re experienced with the nuances of different sales disciplines and understand how to conduct yourself over the phone and over email
  • You have a proven track record in managing a team - from growing that team, to helping mentor and develop the young talent within your team
