Key Account Manager - AMER at Nexmo, The Vonage API Platform in New York, United States

Nexmo, the Vonage real-time communications API platform, is growing its world-class global sales team and is looking to add more account executives who possess a passion for hunting new business, a superior skill for building strong customer relationships, demonstrated ability to drive technical sales cycles, and proven capability building and predictably closing a qualified sales pipeline.

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll grow existing relationships with large, tech-savvy customers and start relationships with new accounts as you target high-growth digital, cloud and high-tech companies. Nexmo serves the hottest companies that are building communications into their unique customer experience to differentiate their businesses, and we are looking for leaders to love to work with innovators.

What you excel at...

  • Enterprise Technology Sales: Your successful track record will include 5+ years experience within the SaaS, Cloud, Communications, Data or Security industries where you have used a solution-oriented sales approach to grow sales and exceed aggressive sales quotas.
  • Winning New Business: Your hunting ground will be the West/East Coast and targets include relevant and large Digital Natives (ISVs, SaaS, digital-first companies), innovative SaaS providers, and Agile Enterprises. With plenty of defined key verticals such as Transport/Logistic innovators, Digital Marketplaces, E-Commerce and Call Centres, new logo wins will be second nature to you.
  • Enterprise Account Management: Relationship building comes naturally to you and you have built solid relationships with mid-level and senior executives across business, marketing, and technology teams, typically working with systems integrators.
  • Partnering with Pre-Sales Engineers: You’ll aid the team in designing innovative CPaaS solutions for prospects looking to migrate their communication infrastructure to the Cloud, integrating APIs into their customer experience flows

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Selling communication, contact center, CRM, or cloud technologies..
  • Building and closing a pipeline of significant Monthly Recurring Revenue (ARR).
  • Building and executing on a territory plan that balances growth in existing accounts and healthy new business wins, by leveraging teammates in marketing, product, legal and partnering roles.
  • Forecasting accurately and timely, acting as a business leader to build a solid, predictable stream of recurring revenue.
  • A customer-driven focus with a passion for understanding customers and prospects better than any other vendor or consultant with whom they work.
  • A tech savvy mind, with a good understanding of the trends driving innovation in technology, particularly in mobile, cloud and consumer areas
  • Self-driven to independently tackle challenges without oversight.
  • Organized and efficient, with a drive to continue to improve.
  • Creative and curious with the focus and openness it takes to work both independently and collaboratively across the business.
  • The ability to travel depending upon the demands of our customers and the business
